Boity Thulo and Bujy Bikwa Bury Their Beef

After nearly two years of feuding, rapper Boitumelo “Boity” Thulo and TV host Thembinkosi “Bujy” Bikwa have decided to lay matters to rest.

Thulo has dropped the assault charge against Bikwa after a mediation session at the Midrand magistrate’s court in Johannesburg, Gauteng on Monday, 5 June.

“We hugged, we spoke, and we are okay. We both agreed we are going to move on and be civil towards one another. I’m at peace, we are both at peace. I think it’s a lesson learned for me. I think for both of us,” Bikwa told a local publication on Tuesday, 6 June.

He also revealed that he had undergone therapy to work through some of his mental health problems.

The pair made headlines in October 2021, when the actress accused the presenter of assaulting her with a bottle of champagne at a hotel in Waterfall, Midrand. According to reports, Thulo needed to be taken to the hospital in an ambulance and was left with facial injuries that required surgery.

In the resulting backlash, Bikwa lost his two TV shows and lucrative ambassadorship deals, which led him needing to downgrade, and move from a golf estate home to a smaller apartment.

Thulo is yet to make a public statement regarding the two burying the hatchet.
